NEGROS ORIENTAL — Assistant Provincial Health officer Dr. Liland Estacion announced in a press briefing Thursday that a government health worker in Negros Oriental has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 after coming in contact with another positive patient.
The health worker is now asymptomatic and is now “contained,” Estacion said, but she would not give details on the frontliner for privacy reasons. There are now two active cases in the province.
Estacion added that they have traced all those who have come in contact with COVID-positive frontliner; they are all now under home quarantine. | via Cindy Bonachita, correspondent
As of Thursday, June 18, there are two active cases, the latest of which is a government health worker who came in contact with a positive patient, and the other one is a pescador, a resident of Bindoy, assistant provincial health officer Dr. Liland Estacion said.
