CEBU CITY — Cebu City Mayor Edgar Labella announced in a press conference, Friday, June 26, 2020, that a total of 178,000 quarantine passes will be provided to households in Cebu City.
The distribution started this afternoon by the officials of the barangay with the assistance of the PNP.
A quarantine pass will indicate the name of the household member allowed to use it as well as his or her address. It also has a QR code that replicates the information to prevent unscrupulous use.
Under ECQ guidelines, there shall be a mandatory stay at home order for all individuals except for those using the quarantine pass to buy essential needs like food or medicine and authorized person outside residence (APOR).
People with QR code passes that end in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) will be allowed to go out on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays while those ending in even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8, 0) will be allowed to go out on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
If the QR code conflicts with the resident’s vehicle number (in the vehicle coding scheme), the QR code for the quarantine pass will prevail. The resident can still go out but cannot use the vehicle.
No one except APOR may go out on a Sunday.
City Hall is expected to release more detailed guidelines. All are encouraged to coordinate with their barangay captains and officials.
