NEGROS ORIENTAL — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) on Monday announced that it has recorded 136 earthquakes at the Kanlaon Volcano over the past 24 hours, mainly on its western lower flanks.

Four of these ranged from magnitude 3.2 to 4.7 and were felt in Canlaon City, Negros Oriental, and in Bago and La Carlota Cities, Negros Occidental, where Intensity II to V tremors were recorded.
